What the numbers mean

The panel is almost never the problem. Load goes into the handle joins and the base corners, so that is where we double the layers and run a bar tack across every seam end.

01 — Litres

Measured by filling the bag with beads, not by multiplying the outside.

02 — Tested load

Hung from the handles for 24 hours. The figure is what held, not what fitted.

03 — Rewax

Wax wears at the folds. A tin and a hairdryer restores it in an evening.
